The concept behind the program is to promote sportsmanship, teach the love of soccer and give kids the opportunity for a more structured setting then Recreation soccer would provide. They will be trained 1 night a week by a professional trainer in a small setting.
Shore County Soccer League consists of participating clubs in cross-club games. Galloway United Community Soccer, Egg Harbor Township Soccer Club, Hamilton Elite FC, Mullica Soccer Club, Absecon, Mainland United and Pleasantville work together to continue the recreational soccer experience for U8 to U14 players.
The season consists of 8 games played on Saturday mornings. Games are usually played from 8:00 – 1:00 PM depending on the age group. The referees are instructional and explain different scenarios to the kids on the field including off-sides, bad throw-ins etc. Rankings are not kept for these games.
Practice for this team will be held 1-2 nights a week from 5:30 – 7:00 PM at the Hickory Street Fields.
