Fundamentals – Warm Up Circuit

Set Up: There are 10-12 players set up on the small field, starting at the cones

Procedure: Player A begins the drill with a wall pass combination with Player B. From there, the ball moves from Player A  C  D  E, and Player E returns the ball to the start. As soon as Player C has made his pass, the next ball can start moving around the other side of the field. There should always be 2-3 balls moving during the drill as the players continue to pass and move to the next cone.

Teaching Topics:
1 The Wall pass.
2 Passing.
3 Timing the runs.

Progressions:
1 Quick two touch play at each cone.

Coaching Points:
1 A poor first pass in the wall pass combination will lead to a poor second pass.
2 Short passes should be played to the feet of the receiver and not into space.
3 Player E should hold his run until the Player D opens up and sees him.
